WHF Volunteers Needed for Foundation Partner Bridges to Independence

Volunteers are needed for the launch of our Changepurse series at Bridges to Independence to begin Wednesday, February 6.  Do you live in Virginia and are you able to volunteer for one hour with Bridges to Independence in Arlington?  Interest continues to grow for "Changepurse," the WHF Foundation's unique course in financial security and empowerment that has been used for several years. Classes will be approximately 6-10 participants staying at the shelter. The goal of Changepurse is to change the participants negative spending habits, encourage them to treat money as value, and help them understand the importance of creating a financial cushion.  Classes will be held from 6pm to 7pm for six weeks Wednesday at Bridges to Independence offices located at 3103 9th Rd N, Arlington.  Volunteers can sign up for one or more classes.  Training will be provided for new volunteers.  To learn more and to volunteer, please email WHF Foundation board member Brandy Schantz at [email protected], or call her at 571-263-0206, or call WHF at 703-683-4742.  Thank you for your willingness to help others! You are needed and will be richly rewarded!
